I had the joy of being featured on The Alchemy Lounge Podcast for an episode called “The Systems of the Soul,” where we explored what happens when spirituality meets strategy, when the systems that run your business are designed to support your nervous system rather than deplete it.
Hosted by The Alchemy Lounge’s Victoria Quance, the conversation was equal parts grounded and expansive. We unpacked how yoga philosophy and operational strategy can co-exist and how the true measure of success isn’t how much you do, but how you feel while doing it.
One of the themes we dove into was what I call bringing the yoga mat into the boardroom.
For me, this means helping entrepreneurs and leaders design systems that reflect their natural energy rhythms, not just their calendars.
We explored how hustle culture has normalized exhaustion as achievement, when in truth, a constantly overworked nervous system isn’t a sign of success; it’s a sign of survival mode.
Instead of pushing harder, we talked about building rhythms that regulate , small, grounded shifts like:
Because true freedom isn’t found in doing more, it’s found in creating space to breathe.
As a yoga teacher and systems strategist, I’m always fascinated by how yogic ethics can shape business.
We explored how the Yamas, yoga’s moral and ethical principles, can guide leadership and decision-making.
For example, Ahimsa (non-harming) can mean choosing clients and commitments that don’t compromise your peace.
It might look like:
As I shared on the show:
“You can’t lead from depletion. You can only lead from regulation.”
In a world that still equates “busy” with “valuable,” we’re collectively being called to redefine success.
What if success isn’t measured by your output, but by how regulated and rooted you feel?
What if growth looked more like flow than grind?
We talked about pausing long enough to ask:
“Is this action truly desired or is it a form of self-harm?”
Because when your business systems align with your soul, productivity becomes peace.
For those who resist structure (and I see you 👋), this part of the conversation was for you.
We reframed systems as self-care, the same way the breath is a system that supports life.
Nature has rhythms. The tides, the seasons, your breath, they all flow in cycles.
Your business deserves the same.
A good system isn’t meant to restrict you. It’s meant to protect your creativity.
As I shared in the episode:
“Pour a glass of something nice, put on music, and turn your accounting into a celebration.”
Structure doesn’t have to feel sterile, it can feel sacred.
We also touched on the small ways energy leaks out of our days, overcommitting, constant notifications, or reacting instantly to every email.
I suggested a simple reset:
Take a full day away from devices.
Start small, maybe a Friday morning or a Sunday afternoon.
Make it your “You Day.”
Because freedom isn’t built in a single leap.
It’s designed through micro-shifts that respect your nervous system and your humanity.
At the end of the conversation, I shared a glimpse of my bigger vision, one where my husband and I build a life that allows us to work remotely while living slowly, traveling by boat, and letting the systems we’ve built sustain that freedom.
It’s a dream in motion, grounded in the same truth I teach:
Simplicity is the ultimate form of sustainability.
If you’ve been craving a gentler, more grounded version of success, one that honours your energy, your intuition, and your time, this episode will feel like a deep exhale.
Because when you align your systems with your soul, everything flows with a little more ease.
